Menstrual hygiene is essential for the growth and development of the girl child, many girls skip or even drop out of school due to lack of access to sanitary pads, this is why Embu County Campus Students Organization (ECCSO), Embu College and Kimuri FM launched a “Pad Drive” in Mutuobare Secondary school as part of an initiative to ensure that girls have access to sanitary pads no matter how remote areas they hail from. The event was led by Dr. Fridah Karani- ECCSO President and an Advocate for Menstrual Hygiene, Embu College Counselor Rev. Lilly Muchangi and Kimuri FM 100.6 radio presenters.
