Happy graduation day everyone! My name is Beatrice Nyawira and I am saved by Christ Jesus.
I am honored to stand before you today as the best graduating student. I have so many to thank in this sea of smiling faces.
As I remark my journey life where I have overcome challenges, you will identify in your own personal way. If I can recall when my KCSE results came out, I didn’t perform well but I didn’t lose hope, and I decided to join Embu College afterwards and enrolled for a Diploma in Community Development and Social Work . All I did was to believe in God and believed in myself. I started working hard, working smart and putting more effort. Despite all the stressful moments I had, discouragements from people, heartbreaks, frustrations and sleepless nights, all I did was to pray. I had a simple plan which was to go to school with four things in mind; pray, work hard, work smart and believe. The journey was not easy, but I can testify prayers and hard work go hand in hand.
I am sure everyone here has a story to tell. My advice to you all is, never stop believing in yourself. There’s nothing you can’t do if you put your mind in it. Success doesn’t always come easy. Keep fighting for what matters to you and remember to never stop dreaming and just stay focused.
In conclusion, I would like to thank God, for without Him I am nothing, my lecturers for their support in class, my family for their continued support and prayers, friends and everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. And for the Embu College, thank you so much for creating a good home for me. Congratulations to my fellow graduands and God bless you all! #EC7thGraduationCeremony
