On Friday, 4th 2022, Rotaract Club of Embu College embarked on a Tree Planting Activity at Irembene primary and Kithangari boys in Imenti south, Meru County. Rotaract club brings together people aged between 18-30 yrs. to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service.
Tree planting activity is a voluntary cause that is part of the club’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) which ensures our active compliance in giving back to the community and to the environment.
The Tree Planting Activity also aims to support The National Tree Planting Campaign (NTPC) Project which implements the Presidential directive and “National Strategy for achieving and maintaining over 10% Tree Cover by 2022. In communities worldwide, Rotaract members work side by side to take action through service. They also decide how to organize and run their clubs, manage their own funds, and plan and carry out activities and service projects.
