The Certificate in Building Technology is a practical technical programme designed to equip learners with the knowledge, skills and competencies required in building construction, maintenance and related construction activities.
The programme combines technical theory with practical workshop and construction-site training. Learners develop competencies in construction methods, building materials, setting out, masonry, concrete work, building services, construction technology, technical drawing, site safety and basic construction management.
The course prepares learners for employment in the construction and building industry and provides a foundation for further training in Building Technology and related construction disciplines.
Building Technology is currently recognized by TVETA as a Craft-level programme examined by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).
