Digital access guide
This practical guide covers common ways to use Embu College digital services, what to do when a barrier appears, and how to request an accessible alternative.

The guide applies to the website, public forms, downloadable resources, course and news information, accessibility settings, and links to digital services presented by Embu College. A third-party service may have a separate interface, policy, or support channel.
Use Tab to move forward through interactive controls and Shift+Tab to move backward. Use Enter or Space to activate a focused button or link. The website includes focus highlighting preferences; if focus becomes difficult to see, enable the focus setting or use your browser and operating-system preferences.
Browser zoom and operating-system display settings can help with reading and magnification. The website accessibility control also provides text-size, high-contrast, grayscale, underlined-link, reduced-motion, relaxed-spacing, and focus-highlight options. Preferences are stored on the device used to set them.
Use heading and landmark navigation where supported. Images that communicate information should have meaningful alternative text, while decorative imagery may be omitted from the reading order. If an image, chart, document, or control is not understandable with your technology, report the page so an alternative can be considered.
Some downloadable documents and external services may use formats or controls that require their own accessibility settings. If you cannot access a document, form, map, careers page, portal, or payment service, contact Embu College and identify the service; we will help determine the next available route.
