How long preferences remain

Some values are needed only while a browser session is open. Others may remain on a device until they expire, are replaced, or you clear them. For example, accessibility preferences are stored locally so they can be applied when you return to the website from the same browser.

• Clearing browser data or using a different browser or device can remove locally stored preferences.
• The duration and name of a technology can change when we update a website feature or a provider changes its service.

Managing your choices

Most browsers allow you to view, block, delete, or limit cookies through their privacy settings. You can also clear stored site data. Blocking a technology may not remove information already held by a provider and may affect sign-in, navigation, preferences, or embedded services.
